subject: Tcp/Ip And Sockets

AC> Can anyone recommend a good introduction to using sockets
AC> with the IAK and/or IBM TCP/IP?

SZ>The TCP/IP development kit and documentation is on the DevCon CD.
SZ>Other than that the sockets interface is similar to Berkeley Unix
SZ>sockets and somewhat similar to Winsock. I'd suggest a book
SZ>"Programming WINSOCK" by Arthur Dumas (SAMS Publishing 1995). It is
SZ>heavily Visual C++ oriented but the general information may be of use.
SZ>Or you can go with a Unix oriented text. That combined with the DevCon
SZ>provided information and the EMX docs should be enough to get you
SZ>started and experimenting.

I recommend books on UNIX programming, they taught me almost everything
I needed to know about TCP/IP programming under OS/2.
