Thanks for the info, but this wasn't the cause. As I've just
said, the internal SCSI cable was faulty. Fixed the latch bar
and it worked.
However have had to do what you said since when I loaded adaptec
to try sbackup. Everything just locked up and the third time
on the switch I needed to run vrepair.
