The city has FINALLY settled down to normal.
Wednesday night they took down the flag that flew over the museum; Thursday
that put up a new one at full, not half, mast.
All the highway construction that was rushed and temporarily opened is now
closed again; I don't know if the construction crews will finish before it
gets too cold.
The television trucks have all been gone for several weeks.
The newspapers have gone on to other stories.
There haven't been any jets practicing the missing man formation for
several weeks.

All in all, I'm glad it is over. I'm also glad the funeral entourage turned
1/4 block before the office where I work instead of continuing past it
(i.e. they took the other have of a rectangle instead of by my office).
