subject: DIVE interface

JK>Actually, I've seen some indications that DIVE could be used from a full
JK>screen OS/2 session, though you'd have to be able to switch into the
JK>correct video mode.

Full screen ability is supposed to be in the new version of DIVE to be
released RSN. You can do full screen now, just not using the DIVE
interfaces. Dive also changed for Warp from 2.1, Warp gave it an entire
new interface and chucked the old one. You will not find that DIVE is
faster than a full screen session. In fact, since you are usually
running 320x200 full screen and 800x600 on the desktop, you may find
DIVE much slower for the same screen size (but DIVE can give you higher
resolution.) Apparently there is a SVGA kit for the EMX compiler, I
haven't looked into it.

JK>I can't afford the DEV CON stuff, so I guess I'll have to wait for
JK>someone to publish a book on this one.

You just have to go to one of the trade shows and persuade IBM to give
you one for free, that's what I did at Comdex fall in Las Vegas.
Saw Microsoft last week and they are sending me a Win95 beta and
developer kit gratis.

Rob.
