Pretty much the way ours always was.  We have a spanking new kitten
('bout as big as my fist) curled up against a Great Dane on the foot of
my bed as I type!   The Kookyroo is in there cooing his head off
while the Lab-mix mutt sits watching, entranced.....  All's well at Boo
Manor.... ('Cept we've got no Amazons. [possibly a mixed blessing])
-> However outside, we are dealing with a racoon that has been helping
-> itself to our doves. I had to move them because of the attacks. We
-> set up a coon Havahart trap but have only caught our outdoor cats so

OW! Too bad!  But quite likely you'll never catch the coon.  They're TOO
Smart!  If you take away the temptation eventually he'll go away, but
you're very likely gonna have to resort to a twenty two..... sigh
-> This is my first coon problem.
I certainly wish you good luck, but as SMART as they are and as
PERSISTENT as they are, I fear you've got little choice.  I've heard
that peanut butter sometimes lures them where they wouldn't ordinarily
go.....
