 RD>> Commonly called the cb-mentality.
 RT> Isn't that just a touch snobbish?
RD> Richard that was NOT `snobbish'.
RD> The `cb-mentality' line was in referance to the old cb idea that if
RD> you can only hear -ONE- person doing the talking then the other they
RD> are talking -TO- is a target for a jamming attempt as they are a weaker
 RD> signal.
I don't know that that occurs with CB-ers alone.
I'd call that the sad mentality! There's been loadsa threads in here
and in HAM (when I was allowed in there that is) about triangulation of
sad-ites going around jamming repeaters or those that are attempting
to use them.
Like any community, there's always going to be strange types gettin their
jollies off in strange ways. We've got (still got?) "the whistler" who
by dint of political conviction, jams the Crystal Palace 2M repeater in
SE London. He/she/it was never caught
RD> You should have read the post more carefully before making an
RD> eroneous jump to a false conclusion, old boy.
I did. And back thru as much of the thread as was still in my messagebase,
OM REACT seems to be a decent sort of organisation. Let's not forget
that many of today's amateurs started on 11M
