From: "Antti Kurenniemi" Howzat all, it seems now that it really is my laptop that has a problem: a friend lent his computer, and it stays connected to the same access point all day long. But mine does, too, after I sort of figured out what's wrong: it originates from Virtual PC/VMWare installation, something one of them left behind. My computer bluescreens every single time I start it, UNLESS I let it sit for like half a minute at the password prompt before I hit enter. I think something is loading in the background, and something else that is only loaded after login conflicts with that. Now if I let it "simmer", everything works just fine and even the wireless works like a champ. I really don't have time to play with this, so I'm limping along with the wait-before-login trick untill I have a day or two to reinstall everything from scratch. I'm learning VirtualPC as I go, and if that works for me, I think I'll have to seriously look into getting a few gigs of more memory and start running at least my development stuff in a VM. Cheers for all the suggestions given to me, some valuable knowledge for the next time (knock knock)!
