Every listed sysop in Fidonet has a vested interest in this election, the
nodelist which you used as a cut-off point had my name in it and as such I have
a right to file complaints or issue remarks.
 
Further, your message d.d. Nov.24 announcing preliminary results is addressed
to "All" without any further specification or elaboration. Hence it is clear
that "All" can protest the reults, meaning everyone listed in the nodelist.
 
Your argument therefor fails.

That also fails because you have accepted votes which were sent by netmail to
you, possible even routed, and by the very virtue of that were compromised.
 
While commendable that there was indeed an ACK so that the audience would
understand and appreciate what was going on, there is not a single clue at how
many netmailed votes that did NOT make it or which were ... dismissed ... or
not.
 
Not claiming it happened but by not properly accomodating netmailed votes at
the beginning of the show the shadow of doubt was cast ... the low voter
turnout in Z2 at the least is suspicious.
 
For this reason the whole election is compromised and should be properly re-run
from scratch.

Even that is unacceptable because the relevance has clearly been demonstrated
above.
 
You cannot handle yourself a complaint against how you ran this yourself and
get away with it. Such practices were only possible in the Polit Bureau of the
Russian Communist Party, and in the PRC, and in North Korea.
 
A respectable organisation would have the election performed by an outside
authority and would set-up a complete different body to handle complaints.
 
You are acting as if you were the organiser, the vote collecter, the counter,
the announcer, the one who deals with complains and ruler of it all.
 
If you insist on that, then this election is totally compromised and if I were
a candidate I would step back ... sorta.
