   Not at all. By 1887 the official international language was French, so
it's most likely called Convention de Berne. Something that the US
translators obviously translated to Berne Convention without realizing that
the French spelling is not the same as the English. I bet they didn't even
realize that it was the city of Bern, Switzerland the convention was named
after...  :-P
