subject: IE patch delayed

From: "Geo"

On its website, Microsoft said: "Due to an issue discovered in final
testing, Microsoft will not be re-releasing MS06-042 today. This update
will be re-released for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 when it meets an
appropriate level of quality for broad distribution."

According to Microsoft, only computers using Internet Explorer 6 Service
Pack 1 on Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP Service Pack 1 are affected
by this the flaw. The company is advising other people to download MS06-042
update.

Notice how they are pointing out that this doesn't affect the current
version of windows. Told ya this hammer was coming.. Security patches are
the only thing they can use to make all those W2K holdouts move and they do
plan to use it.
