BV> Nope. It only looks like it :) What comes out of the remote BV> decoder is an RC-5 command signal. BL> ^^ you mean ENcoder. BV> AArrrggghhh !!!! I give up. I've had half a dozen beers, the BV> temperature is about 35 degrees, the humidity is about 98% and BV> I really don't give a fuck :) BL> Don't get upset and fall off your water tower, you lucky bugger. I BL> told you so. Good, eh? Humidity is lovely - as long as you don't have BL> to work. I remember one time we stopped for morning tea, and were still BL> there at afternoon tea because we couldn't be bothered. How do you like BL> rhinosceros beetles? It wouldn't be so bad if it were only the beetles. Everything here is so fucking large that they've just gotta be feeding them steroids...The humidity doesn't really bother me that much. I've spent a few months in Miami where I swear the humidity is 150% As soon as you step outside there it's like walking into a shower. After that, this place is just like Sydney after a bit of rain. It has been quite hot the last few days though, hot enough that even the locals are walking around saying things like, "Fuck, it's hot". From this I gather it's a bit hotter than normal. Tonight was strange. It was about 40 today and the locals were all walking around saying,"F....". We went to dinner and instead of choosing something from the menu, we were the menu. Fucking mozzies and bugs were coming out of everywhere. We've been here a week and not really had any problems with them. Cripes, last-night Tisha and I were standing out in the middle of a swamp (otherwise known as a river in the middle of a rain forest) with a fucking huge spot-light that was advertising our whereabouts to every bug within a 50klm radius. What did we see...not a fucking thing, that's what. It was a lovely walk though. Patricia saw a few Logadiles though :) But tonight they were making up for it the little buggers. BV> Perhaps, but it's not what you said :) BL> It *was* what I said. BV> I've had three more beers. See above. BL> Have you decided that you may never leave, yet? Nope. We're outa'here tomorrow. It's too fucking expensive. BL> I was as uptight as you when I went North, Who's uptight you arse-hole ? BL> and in a week I didn't give a stuff about anything. I'll let you in on a little secret. I _try_ to be like that all the time. I don't think it works very well though :( BL> Has your skin started to go a bit greasy, yet? No, not yet. What happens after that, do things start to fall off ? BL> After that, the transformation is complete and you can spend all day BL> just thinking about doing nothing... you don't actually have to do it. I've been doing that for a few months now :) BL> Keep up the liquids... and don't get lost in the jungle. They only BL> call it a rain forest to get the yuppies in. It's really a jungle. Yesh, you're not wrong. It is a fucking Jungle. To tell you the truth I wouldn't call it a rain forest either. There is a lot of ground cover here that I didn't expect to see. The locals use some excuse about Cyclones but I think that is just what they tell the tourists :) There is a small very attractive rain forest somewhere near Nowra that is much more like you expect a rain forest to be. It really has almost nothing below the canopy, here it's a fucking jungle and all the plants are killers. Seriously, the bugs, spiders and animals are friendly compared to the plants. Every second one is toxic or makes you break out in a rash. There is one that is like barbed wire and they call it "wait-a-while", because when you get tangled up in it it takes a while to get yourself untangled. They also call this one the Lawyer Fern. Oh, the locals hate the boongs and fagots too but they aren't racist :) Cheers, Brenton @EOT: ---* Origin: TestPoint (3:711/934.7) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
