If you are referring to me, I wasn't talking about egg-beaters.  As a
cardiac patient having had a heart attack and four coronary by-passes,
and going through 12 weeks of recovery, therapy, and preventive
education, I can assure you that I know the difference in an egg and
egg-beaters. What I said was that I've read an opinion that eggs don't
contain damaging cholesterol. That opinion was made by egg industry
biased "experts" with an agenda much the same as those tobacco industry
biased "experts" who opin that second hand smoke isn't harmful.
When reading the opinions of unbiased researchers, you will find that
they disagree with both the egg folks and the tobacco folks.
I have no knowledge of specially engineered eggs, but wonder if they
came before or after specially engineered chickens.
