| subject: | Hidden Functions in OS/2 |
Tuesday March 14 1995, Mike Bilow writes to Graeme Geldenhuys: GG>> Is there still any other hidden functions in OS/2 like the GG>> one that says to whom Warp is dedicated to: GG>> - Click on the desktop to unselect anything GG>> - Type the following: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+o MB> Well, if you strike Alt-F2 in the early part of the boot process while the MB> white block and "OS/2" are displayed in the top left corner of the screen, MB> then you will be treated to announcements of the names of device drivers MB> as they load. This is very useful for diagnosing system hangs caused MB> by device drivers, so you can figure out which driver is responsible. This is a useful function, which ought to be documented somewhere. One thing I have found, though, is that this seems to get disabled if you have 'Display Recovery Choices at each restart' set on in the Desktop settings.
