Mike, because of the way your reader distorts messages, I'm not sure I
quoted what you said without getting some other texts in, but I think I
did.
At any rate, what you've said reinforces my opinion that potential abuse
by LEO's constitutes a violation of our rights to personal privacy in
allowing non-PC inquiries of license plates.  When I'm out of town,
maybe out of state, and a local constable wants to know if the curly
headed fellow driving the big gray van happens to have a CCW, which
would lead him to believe that I _might_ have a firearm on board
which violates some local ordinance, and can find out just by running my
tag, you've got yourself a case of unreasonable search.
Yep, mind reading would be a good way for the cops to know what we've
been up to.  That sure would solve a bunch of crimes.  Scary, isn't it?
