BV> Where the fuck does money come from ?
BL> Close... I think where the fuck is where *babies* come from :-)
BV> Chuckle. Did you notice that he was unable to answer the question ?
BL> Did I ever! I was tempted to save the message as the perfect example
BL> of meaningless waffle.

I couldn't believe it. I actually read it all expecting to find something
and was shocked when I reached the end and realised that it didn't say
anything. Then I did a _really_ dumb thing, I read it again ! Aaarrgh!

BL> When I was writing my books, the two things I had most difficulty in
BL> writing were waffle and bureaucratese. As an engineer, I try hard to
BL> avoid this shit, and as soon as I tried to put it into the mouths of
BL> my characters, I just naturally edited it out. At one stage, I was
BL> saving stuff written in Waffle and Burese, to study it or at least
BL> copy it.
BL> Rod's explanation of money being created was the best example of
BL> Waffle I've read in years!

I hope you kept it. You could slip it into one of you books anywhere
and it would be about as applicable.

BL> You upset Rod. He exceeded his one brain-fart-per-sentence limit.
BV> True. I wonder what has upset him the most. The fact that I
BV> might just be right, or that he doesn't have any idea how money
BV> is made and finds it's way into circulation.
BL> Only the Shadow knows what lurks in the heart of Rod. He raised the
BL> money-thing as an example of how erratic you are, with numerology (I
BL> missed that one) and that. In fact, the money-generating part of that
BL> little book was the only part I agreed with. *Of course* money is
BL> created! 3 trillion bucks floating around the world at the close
BL> of trading is real... it just doesn't exist .

I was tempted to ask him to tell me what money actually is, but I
decided against it as I really don't want to embarrass him that much :)

BL> I think he imagines you as a mad fat Italian, and me as a poor
BL> old bugger in his 70s.
BV> Well he's right on one of them :)
BL> Yair... but which one?

"he imagines"

Cheers, Brenton
