--- this is not what Graham then believed.  I say then because I
haven't personally talked to him since the mid 70's.  "Non-Christians"
is not equal to "non-Evangelicals" or what ever other title you want to
put in there.  But he often quotes on his televised crusades Heb 9:27,
that it is "appointed onto man once to die and THEN comes judgment."
The necessity is that confession of Christ and thus salvation, is only
offered in this life time.

Billy might to a lot of things to a lot of people, in accordance to 2
Cor. 4:15, but he does take some dogmatic positions.  That there is a
literal hell is foundational to his ministry for that is why he seeks
to save as many as he can.  "Broad is the way unto destruction" is
another verse that he frequently calls out.

I really don't understand why, Charles, you would have concluded that
Billy believed that broad is the way to heaven, or that there was yet
to be another chance after the grave.  That certainly has not been his
gospel message all these many years.

[It's possible that he has lightened up since the 70's. I heard him
say in a radio address that he was not able to categorically say
that all non-Christians are lost. Here are two web references.
I don't want to imply that I accept the positions held in the
second reference, but the quotation is consistent with what I believe
is Graham's current position. (it's about halfway down the page. look
for May 31, 1997)
