Personally, I think C sucks... :P  I prefer TurboPASCAL, but I _ALWAYS_ have 
a copy of PowerBASIC lurking on my hard drive... it's great for fast programs 
where everything doesn't have to be setup.
Besides, AppleBASIC (ProBASIC?) was my very first computer language.  To 
ditch BASIC of any flavor would be to ditch my roots.
Besides, with how structured BASIC has become, it's still a great language to 
write in.
In fact, I'm working on a door right now using DWDoor.
