And all this time I thought it was to indicate that you had paid the
appropriate state and local taxes to operate the vehicle on public
roadways.  Learn something all the time.....
Do you think it is proper for a LEO to run a tag to find the name and
address of the pretty girl driving?  Why can't I do that?
