Hey guys. I thought I remember Scott Street mentioning he released the last
version, and that's also where I downloaded the source from, so I guess
this is more directed towards him, as well as any other linux users out
there.
Trying to compile for the first time, I received this error:
ballistic src # make linux
make -C jamlib -f Makefile.linux
make[1]: Entering directory `/mystic/ftn/jamnntpd/src/jamlib'
gcc -D__LINUX__ -Wall -c crc32.c -o crc32.o
gcc -D__LINUX__ -Wall -c mbase.c -o mbase.o
mbase.c: In function 'JAM_LockMB':
mbase.c:301:9: warning: implicit declaration of function 'JAM_Sleep'
mbase.c: In function 'jam_Lock':
mbase.c:539:2: error: #error Unsupported platform

make[1]: *** [mbase.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/mystic/ftn/jamnntpd/src/jamlib'
make: *** [linux] Error 2
I'm using up-to-date stable Gentoo with gcc (Gentoo 4.5.4 p1.0, pie-0.4.7)
4.5.4.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'd like to get this up and running
to replace my other NNTP server.
If anyone has links to the helpful scripts for using JamNNTPd with HPT (ie:
fidoconfig2jamnntpd.pl, checkgroups.pl, echomailjam2hpt.pl -- if any of
them still work), that would be great as well and save me a lot of time
manually adding almost 300 message echos. :)
Thanks in advance!
