You have pike don't you? They ruin many a good pond here by eating
absolutely everything in it -- and they bite humans too given half a
chance.
A couple of them were dynamited out of carshalton ponds recently, (a
famous pond in our area going back some 300 years), causing a huge
hoohah in the local press because they managed to blow up a few hundred
fish and a couple of swans at the same time.
FO>What are the license requirements and fees for the UK?
Erm, pass Someone will jump in here and no doubt tell me off, but I
don't think that the majority bother with licences. They're about 15
quid I think... I guess that's 20 dollars a season.
As I said before, I'm not a fisherman, I don't really have the patience,
or the discipline to get up at 3 in the morning -- If I did however,
I'd love to do some salt water fishing, the idea of fishing in the sea
is quite appealing.
BTW -- We have Salmon in the Thames again these days... They're
undergoing sex changes because of all the awful chemicals pumped into
the water, but nevertheless they are back!
