To tell you the truth I don't know. I go by the older the better and the
item's worth is what some one is will to pay for it. I use my own judgement
when no background material is available. Examples:
1. Condition
2. General Interest
3. Age
So on.
Looking at general interest more. You might try advertising in the civil war
echos. " If they allow buying and selling there" A book about General Grant
will get more interest there.
