| subject: | Re: Changing an Active Directory Name Structure |
From: "Rich Gauszka" looks like you can rename 2k3 but not w2k http://www.mcse.ms/archive44-2004-5-711712.html Is there any way to chage domain name without uninstalling AD and installing it again? I'm using windows server 2003. -+- you can use the domain rename tool: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/downloads/domainrename.mspx however, make sure you read the documentation prior to renaming your domain as there are some caveats. also, this tool only works for 2k3 - you cannot rename w2k ad domains.
