RF> Canada! (I refuse to say "eh," BTW.) ;-) Taking a look at
RF> your discussion of DNF's music, I was just
LJ> thinking that one style you
RF> might want to consider is Hollywood-style orchestral music, as in
RF> Shiny's MDK. It works well in many situations.
LJ> That's my primary style of choice. Check out past stuff for examples:
LJ> "Mistache" from ROTT, "Ah Geez" from D3D, and so on.
LJ> Genres 'R' us, though
LJ> - as long as they don't ask me to write a Patsy Cline-
LJ> style number or fully
LJ> notate a jazz chart in Coltrane or Davis' styles. I
LJ> might pull it off, but
LJ> I wouldn't really want to be there to hear the end result.
Will there be MIDI music, or just CD audio? I prefer CD audio, of
course.
LJ> Most likely, I'll stick to what worked for D3D - a mixture of rock and
LJ> orchestral, with more of a blend this time. Most of the D3D pieces were
LJ> rather "segregated", for lack of a better term - either
LJ> all orchestral, all
LJ> rock, or all something else. The few that I mixed up
LJ> came out rather well,
LJ> so I'll probably experiment further along those lines and see exactly
ow
LJ> far I can take it. At least for a few more charts, that is.
I *would* like to hear a few (just a few) electronica pieces. Those
can really get your pulse going.
