Advice's a cool scene. Dig it!

  There was a discussion on an Internet newsgroup about such a book,
but I'm not sure if the book was ever released.
  Someone said they found reference to it on a publisher's WWW page.
Someone else said they'd seen it. Someone else said the book was
scrapped before it was even published.
  But you might want to look at a book called C Disk Tutor by L. John
Ribar, published by McGraw Hill, ISBN 0-07-881798-6. It actually comes
with a "lite" version of Watcom C compiler. It's about C only, though,
not C++.
