I and clients (all WU or manual updaters) have had a lot of trouble with
servers on this one. On one machine of mine, permitting the DL of all after
a "notify" popup just made WU go away.  When nothing happened for
half an hour, while other machines on my IP were updating merrily, I
started a manual download.  On reboot, the "notify" popup
returned.  Selecting "download" (for the heck of it) produced a
write-to-0 hard crash in SVCHOST.  I had to use the power button for the
first time in months.

Yesterday, the servers were hopeless.  I gave up.  So where's this
load-balancing we were led to expect?  This was in NYC, but CNET in CA had
enough trouble to write about it (link below).

Also, don't forget.  IE7 is coming; if you don't want it, block it:
