It would be good not to map from that VM to shared folders willy-nilly. Malware could drop something, hoping the Windows Explorer will drop by and execute it. It depends on the other sites you visit. As soon as you log into any web site from that VM for webmail or any sort of online subscription it becomes more important. And if you do any online banking of any kind it is critical.
