Our ears interpret sound spectrally and analog....how our brains interpret
it is not known yet but very likely to be analog.
There is no circuitry in the brains known yet that can do any A/D conversion :-)

Also neurologic activity is not binary so digital singnalprocessing in the
brains would not only be inefficient (1 and 0 where a whole range of
signals can get through.) it would also be extremely SLOOOOOOOWWWWW.....

The brains are a product of evolution and therefore almost impossible to
contain digital processes....those products who would have some digitallish
tendencies would almost immediately become extinct due to the overwhelming
sluggishness of digital vs analog....he would be the first prey for a tiger
