If your father lives in Alaska, go up and visit the place.  If you drive
the Alcan, the scenery will stun you and even if you don't, Anchorage is a
beautiful city.

Not that I know of and I checked the nodelist earlier this evening. 
Fidonet collapsed in Alaska in 1998 and although many of the participants
of that day can still be reached through the Internet, they no longer have
any interest in Fido.

Over the last few years a node has emerged somewhere in Alaska and become a
regional independent in Region 17 or become a part of a net in that region
but they don't seem to stay around long.

i would not be the moderator if we still had an Alaskan presence.
