Carry around a small 3-5 port switch to plug laptop into network jack to
share with user's machine. I do that when IN NYC, since there is only 1
network cable in each work area, the other is a plain old pots line. Some
offices have a small linksys 5 port already, as there are 2 people in those
offices, or they have network based printers in there.
Here in Nashville, we have a 3Com VOIP phone system (NBX-100), and each
phone has a network jack on it that is a loop through from the phone
system, which is tied into our network (phone conversations run thru same
switches as data). THAT's really handy. The old phones are 10meg, which
is OK, but some of the later phones are 100meg.
