Hi Charles,
   Am I right in assuming that this is the 440 Mhz model of the 02AT ? I have 
two of the 02AT's and I'm happy with them, but when I got them the battery 
packs were on their last legs.  What is the condition of the packs you 
mention above ? How many hours do you get on receive, with the volume at a 
good listening level and the squelch at thresh- hold ?   Would the battery 
packs from my 02AT's work on this unit ?
   I'm EXTREMELY interested, so Please note my order in the
replies you've gotten so far.  (hope I'm the first ?)
BTW: What is the serial number series (mfgr date) of the unit ?
     Please expand on "almost new cond". ?
  (looking forward to possible QSO w/you when 10m opens up ;)

Hi Charles..  Just a line to let you know that I've been able to find $50 of 
the price you are asking for the unit just today, and I'll continue looking 
for the rest.  I was able to to free up that ammount by delaying the purchase 
of parts to get my rig (below) back on the road.  Now -- Where else can I 
'cut'!? Hmmm... :-/

Wow!!!   Now THAT was an unexpected response...   :(
I'm NOT asking you to lower your asking price.  I thought I made it quite 
clear in my first message to you, that I considered it a perfectly reasonable 
and acceptable ammount, and I would be more than willing to meet that asking 
price!
PLEASE! Read the message previous to this again with the above in mind and I 
think you'll see that I was only expressing my intent to complete the 
transaction for the purchase of the unit from you.
Funds are tight here, as I mentioned that my Dad just passed away, and I'm 
having to reorganize my finances in order to take some of the load off of my 
Moms' shoulders for the cost of the cremation, etc...

So that's it to this point...  I'm confused, are you saying that you don't 
want to SELL the unit to me, or that you are just not willing/able to grant 
me the time to come up with the rest of your asking price (not such a "set 
price" it would appear) ?!
I guess I should have looked up your phone number and called you on voice. 
Maybe that way things might have been a bit clearer.
