Well, to get rid of gophers in Phoenix, we plant castor beans.  It takes
a couple of months until the plants get big enough, then voil…,
your yard is no longer tasty enough for gophers.  The only problem is
that if you have small children who gnaw on the beans, they die.  The
gophers aren't dumb enough to eat them & just leave.  Is there something
you could plant in your yard to encourage the moose to leave?
