The dictionary meaning is that a cult is "a religion regarded as
unorthodox or spurious: sect."

In that Mormonism does not hold to the traditional view of the
uniqueness of the Trinity, to the singular authority of Scripture,
their additions such a "spritual wivery" and their "Book of
Mormans",
it qualifies itself as fulfilling the dictionary term.

Like the Jehovahs Witnesses, Mormonism is a sect.  In that both of them
have incorrect, false biblical views as to the character of God, to
that degree they are simply unChristian.  Christianity is defined by
its unique view of the Godhead, Trinitarianism.
