Are you kidding?  This has been my argument with both Matt and Charles.
Prevenient grace is necessitated because of the total depravity of
man.  Regeneration is the work of the Spirit alone, not through
cooperative effort on the part of man.  Even Arminus wrote in agreement
with this points.

Augustine noted at least 5 types of causes.  Faith is the
"instrumental" cause of salvation, both justification and
sanctification.

Gary, you have just proven that 1) you have not been following what I
have insisted upon for the last 2-3 months both here and on SRC, 2)
that you do not understand what "Calvinism" is.  Read
"Justification"
by Terretin.  Read Luther's "Bondage of the Will" or even Arminius's,
"Public Disputations."
