The parties might call it "know your voter", and tailor their spam
... oops campaign material based on our individual "profiles". I
dread the day when party machines get hold of my email address,
perhaps through mandatory requirements on ISPs ["Homeland Security"], 
and link it with my physical address, mobile phone (SMS etc), and plain 
old fixed telephone service, which can now also have SMS if on an upgraded
telephone exchange.

We used to have "responsible government" - now we have spin, denial
and blame-shifting.
