Thanks, I should have been able to answer my own question as I missed
seeing a Blue Wave reference in your posts! My question was poorly
phrased and should have asked if a mail door had been reinstalled.
Use of and Mail Door and off line reader saves a lot of connect time
on the BBS, by allowing one to down load all the latest messages in a
conference. One can then hang up, read and answer the messages as
leasure.
The door had been removed some time ago as it was causing conflicts
with his BBS software. Not only is my BBS going down, the current
and sole Fido Hub in in this telephone exchange is also closing his
BBS and concentrate on his web page. My BBS is also expanding its
page and hopefully provide telnet access to Fido and this conference.
Whether the BBS's hard drive lasts that long is another matter as our
myoptic board of directors does not wish too support the BBS any
longer.
(Sorry for the diatribe Elvis, I'm sure you are well aware of
the decline in BBS's and Fido and I will sorely miss it!)
Closer to the aviation topic, I was fortunate enough to meet the
FAA BBS sysop at last years "Sun n' Fun" I'm not sure if he will
be at the FAA's display this year or not, but I probably will miss
the show this year. (Murray if you and Sam go, look him up!)
New users may be able to sign up for the BBS right there. At any
rate, it was a pleasure to to meet Bill Hoenstine and I urge anyone
who goes to drop by and speak to him. I hope to shake his hand again.
  Are you reading this Bill?
Thanks again for your response. I've enjoyed this conference!
Ron
