   The text is not the original Bern Convention, it's what become of it
after several modifications. But that's beside the point. The point is that
the capital of Switzerland is called Bern and nothing else.

   For starters, there seems to be a huge confusion even on official, US
sites. There are even sites where both the correct and the erroneous
spelling occur in the same document.

   And then I've still not found any dictionary, spell checker or whatever,
that accepts anything but Bern.

   But whattaheck! If y'all prefer to go through life, spelling the city of
Bern wrong, go right ahead, I couldn't care less!
