Hi Dave,
        I suppose I should have been a little more specific...
The file was a slight bit over 5 megs and the transfer was shown on both
the Sysop's log and (from my side) Terminate's log... reporting just a
hair over 4400 cps.. the file stats showed a little over 45% compression
using pkzip.  I'm not here to try to explain why, or, how this happened.
I'm just stating that it did.  This has only happened once and it was
VERY early in the morning.  I'll probably never see that speed again on
a 33.6k connect (which is rare considering that I'm stuck with GTE).
I can't wait for AT&T and Time Warner to finish with there fiber
optics... they're both beating down my door with neat offers for ISDN,
but I'll wait for the smoke to clear and see who gives the best deal!
