If the upgrade fails, there's no code left in the Sportster to attempt 
another upgrade.  The "loader" is in the same flash ROM as the upgrade you're 
loading.
Without the "loader", you're done like dinner.
Couriers don't have that problem.
The problem shouldn't happen, of course, but it _can_.
