| subject: | Watcom prog. on SLC mach |
I had the (dubious) privilege of writing a 'quicky' demo of an app so a customer could show it on Win 3.1 machines. All was well - until it hit a shop with IBM PS/2's. The closest I can recall they were model 56's??? but don't hold me to that. They were definitely SLC's - no mathco - and they all froze solid during the program setup. This blasted demo runs on everything we throw it at except this. Used Watcom 10.0a, default math setup parms. 16 bit Win executable, 386 code option. App never even displays the initial window on the PS/2's. Can I be freezing the machine by testing for a non-existant mathco? Shop's DP folks assure me it's a mca machine, so could this combo be the problem? If so, what's the safest compile setup for this potential problem? Damn, I quit writing Windows programs about the time 3.1 came out - now I know why! --- Maximus/2 2.02* Origin: The Canadian Connection (1:128/77) SEEN-BY: 105/42 620/243 624/50 711/401 409 410 413 430 807 808 809 934 955 SEEN-BY: 712/407 515 628 704 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 128/77 58 12 1 158 3615/50 396/1 270/101 105/103 42 712/515 711/808 @PATH: 711/809 934 |
