Not according to the Great Bird of the Galaxy--Horatio Hornblower is
(although Leslie Nielsen's captain certainly does have something in
common with Captain K!).
And, let's also recognize some of the visual influences on the original
LiS--I believe the stasis tubes in the Jupiter 2 (and the Jupiter 2
itself) bear more than a passing resemblance to the ship in FP.
