| subject: | Re: IE7 backing off |
From: "John Beamish" That's been an issue for me, too, on several occasions. Opera does have a "Report a Site Problem" under Help on the menu bar. I've used it a couple of times. It's a tough call -- back off from standards (and implement erroneous-but-IE-equivalent rendering) or implement the standards (and cause users some grief). It will be interesting to see if IE ever supports Acid2 correctly. Blazingly fast Opera slowed down when it was implemented, But what will happen with the already lethargic Firefox and IE? I'm guessing the former will be even slower and the latter will never get round to it because they will be satisfied that rending 99% of the net in an expected (and possibly, even, compliant) manner will be sufficient.
