PN> Last time I looked it wasn't the NRA that wrote legislation.
GP> NRA wrote the Armor Piercing bullet ban. In fact, they reseructed a
GP> dead AP bill & used their might to help ram it through. Thanks, NRA.
GP> Based on this new precedent, will NRA next sponsor a ball ammo ban?
GP> Think about it!
I have thought about it. And here's the rest of the story: the
original legislation as conceived by the agf-pukes would have outlawed
a virtual raft of ammunition -- such that all these guns would have
been worthless because any ammo would have been restricted.
Okay, they compromised, and another brick in our wall came down. But
I'd suggest the wall would have had a lot bigger hole in it than it
does.
GP> Yes, NRA _wrote_ that anti-gun legislation. It looks like NRA _is_ a
GP> Traitor.
I believe the NRA did the best they had with what they had to work
with. It isn't the fault of the NRA that the politicians are allowed
to contravene the constitution on a regular basis: it's _ours_. Not
you, or Dave, or me specifically. But all the hunters who won't fight
for our rights, all the brain dead who believe the 5 o'clock news
blow-drys, and all of us who don't make a determined effort to fight
for our rights on an on-going basis and encourage and educate our
neighbors to do the same.
"I do believe that where there is a choice only between
cowardice and violence, I would advise violence."
