*** Is it me, or did Michael Reed mumble this to Barry Laws, Jr.? ***
MR> On my LP it says on the LP itself: Side White Procession (May) Father
MR> To Son (May) White Queen (As it began) (May) Some Day One Day (May)
MR> The Loser In The End (Taylor) It seems unlikely that Freddy would
MR> have writen the guitar harmonies on Procession. Curriously, the black
MR> side only has one song credit next to a song name. I used to have a
MR> version of this that had the lyrics for all of the songs printed on
MR> the inside cover. This version does not. I know someone with the CD
MR> version so I will try to listen to the extra tracks.
Well I looked at the liner notes for my CD version (the CD version has a
pretty nice picture disc...most of their re-released CDs have picture
discs...the only ones I'm missing are Sheer Heart Attack, The Miracle [I have
the original Capitol Records CD version...I just need the rerelease...I love
those extended versions of Invisible Man and Scandal], and At The BBC) and
you were right about Father To Son being credited to May. The only song that
wasn't credited was Procession. If it was written by May (I listened to it
closely and it does sound like a Brian May song), they should've had it
listed as "Procession/Father To Son" (May). If you ever listen to the CD of
it, there is a good bonus track called "See What A Fool I've Been" (a blues
song written by May). Don't bother with the remix of "Seven Seas of Rhye"
unless you're into dance remixes.
