I think I've destroyed all of my old AutoCAD programs. I did keep some performance metrics on old machines tho. I.e., on an IBM AT339 (286) for a 750k file, it took 8m40s to load and 1m43s to redraw. We had to spend around 4k to get an Nth Engine graphics card that would do near real time redraws/zooms/pans and later software apps made that obsolete. I use to use vdisks up to about 1.5MB, seemed files got a bit instable once they got close to that size. Man, we'd spend hours trying to save minutes back in the day.... - Richard --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
