  When we were there for Disneyana we were told by GM employees 
  that "It will open this year, we hope".  
  We were also told by reliable sources that they had all the cars,
  but the track has 106 sectors and is designed for 34-36 on TT
  at one time; so far the computer can only handle nine.
  Also, it appears that if they have emergency stops they are still
  shredding tires (at $300 each) and having to take the cars off-line
  for replacement of tires.  Also, if they stop in a steeply banked
  (as much as 52 deg) area people are extremely uncomfortable.
  Rumors (not quite so reliable) relate to an axle breaking on
  one car and another actually coming off the track.
  Possibly AK will open before TT.  Domn't hold your breath.
