Mike,

        To have the trailing . to show up, you have to have "" around
the name, EI: copy spam "spam."  Then you will see spam and spam.
Be careful, I made a type the other day and had a file called
doom..zip, was a big pain to figure out why I couldn't unzip it in
DOS, till I saw it in OS/2 that it had two ..
