AH> My father had prostate cancer when he was in his
AH> fifties & he had skin cancer when he was in his sixties.
AH> He died at ninety-five, essentially because his body wore
AH> out. Meanwhile I learned a lot from his example.... :-)

Grand-dad used to tell my uncles, "Hard work won't kill you, old age will."
Simplistic: Sure. But, it explains a bit about me and my cousins on that side
of my family. [The neighbouring fence is up, and I bodged together the same
amount on my side, (At the back ally, the two yards measure 140', so there *is*
a valid reason so many years have been used mending it.) plus 90% of a garbage
shed/lawn-mower garage is up and painted. I bought and erected a garage sized
tent, so I can work on my mess in inclement weather, and out of sight from the
neighbour. ... ... ... IOW, systems normal; all *fouled* up. B-]

As you may have read by the time you get to this, I didn't fall off a bridge
*literally*. After I blew out my Windows installation, the first computer task
I assigned myself was to get back to fido and tell you that melancholy wasn't
responsible for my disappearance, but misplaced excitement about a Linux
distribution. Catching up on the threads we were working on - I know how little
I like it when someone announces the power of the ebb they are in, as they flow
out of the room. The good news is, I was able to rearrange the computer
situation pretty dramatically in the kafuffle, so I hope I can follow the chaos
to set this machine up for a few more chores before the dust settles.

I'll get to our existing conversation later, but I'll have to truncate the
volume. I just tore apart the two front yards, planted bulbs and perennials,
worked on the walks... ... ... You know, the usual. Fall is here, and I
hope to drain the garden hoses this year, for a change.

... A journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fanbelt and a leaky
tire.
