If you go... > c:\wherever\crc32fil.exe c:\ratsarse\wanker.exe > it will open wanker.exe and print its CRC32 on the screen in hex. > If it fails to open the file it will print "FATAL ERROR! File > does not exist. Neils Petersen is a wanker." It takes about 2 > seconds per megabyte. The EXE is only 8K. NP> 8k is smaller than my exe but mine does _all_ the files on the NP> disk that are named in a created list file. I thought you didn't have a CRC EXE? NP> Doing them one at a time is not an option when there are NP> thousans of files to do :-) ROFL! That's why god invented goto... I thought you might want to test it first, without trashing your entire hard drive. It's only a ten-minute job to add a directory search. I take no credit for the 8K EXE. That's how it came out of the compiler and I wasn't trying to make it small. There just isn't much in there... NP> I trust you found the cause of your dupes ? I am the cause, Alpha and Omega.
