David, can you give me a 10-point-list of what I need to do (now that I
have linux installed) to:

1. Get a UUCP connect happening automatically every Saturday morning to my ISP.

2. Having a reader (similar to msged, but not msged) to read newsgroups and
"netmail".

3. Be able to FTP (vs FREQ) things with Saturday's call.

Here is an example of what I am after:

1. Obtain your ISP's address.

2. Ask your ISP for a UUCP account, and to tell you it's name (not the same
as your normal login name!).

3. Obtain the following software archives:
a) UNXBINK*.* - a UUCP-mailer
b) UNXSQSH*.* - a UUCP-mailprocessor
c) UNXMSGD*.* - an RFC-style reader.

4. Create separate directories for all 3 packages, and unzip them.

5. Edit UNXBINK/config and put in your UUCP name and ISP address.

6. Edit UNXSQSH/config and put in your UUCP name and newsgroups you are
interested in.

7. Edit UNXMSGD/config and put in your newsgroups you are interested in.

8. Send a mail message to "majordomo" and put in the list of
newsgroups you want to be connected to.

9. Go "crontab -e" and put in "UNXBINK poll" for the
date + time you want to call your ISP.

10. Whenever you want to read + write mail, simply go "unxmsgd".

BFN. Paul.

P.S. As you can probably tell, I've picked up buzzwords over the year, some
of them will presumably be naievely funny. :-)
