Microsoft has been using their platforms and software to push DRM,
Copyprotection and now desktop advertising on it's users. They are not on
my trusted source list anymore. WSUS probably installs the verification
trojan.

I'd rather pay shavlik $1k than release control of my network to MS or risk
depending on their servers being available for the survival of my company.
